I wonder how we would view Istanbul from above if we were birds?
Suleymaniye, Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia, the Maiden Tower, Dolmabahce Palace and the Bosphorous from one end to the other...
We would make a circle in the air around Rumelihisari, pass by the fishermen’s boats, relax a bit at the top of a mosque as a special azan is being called for the dead and listen to religious officials calling azans. We would fly over the Topkapi Palace and maybe not paying much attention to the Maiden Tower bearing witness to history, we would dive into the sea of peace on the coast of Salacak."
