"Turkey 16th biggest economy within OECD
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development estimated Turkey�s national income in 2005 as USD 343.6 billion under the current exchange rates. With this income Turkey continued to be the 16th biggest economy among OECD countries. During the economic crisis of 2001, Turkey was the 20th biggest economy of OECD.
OECD announced the national income of 2005, which it estimated for member states. According to this, Turkey's national income, which was USD 302 billion in 2004 increased USD 41.6 billion last year with current exchange rates and reached USD 343.6 billion. The highest national income increase in OECD countries with current exchange rates was in Turkey last year with 13.8%. Iceland followed Turkey with 11.1% with current exchange rates and the US with 6.4%."
