The Anatolia Times-Erdogan: Davos Meetings Have Also Been Useful For Cyprus

"Erdogan: Davos Meetings Have Also Been Useful For Cyprus
ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Davos meetings were useful as regards Turkey's Cyprus policy.

Addressing his party group meeting, Prime Minister Erdogan said that he had very fruitful meetings within the context of World Economic Forum.

''We explained Turkey's point of view about top issues on the agenda. We discussed Turkey's new action plan for Cyprus with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and our counterparts and saw that the new plan pleased the international community. Turkey has shown once again that it is for all sorts of peaceful solutions based on objective criteria. Now we hope that the international community will pressure the Greek Cypriot side for a settlement on the island,'' Erdogan said."
