"Author Andrew Mango talks Turkey, terror and the EU

British author and historian Andrew Mango, known for his writings on Turkey, has said he thinks Turkey has thus far been unable to adequately explain its role against domestic terror to the world at large. Speaking with a reporter from the Dogan News Agency in his London home, Mango noted that reforms in Turkey have done more to provoke terror than quell it: "A terrorist does not need reforms; a terrorist wants to have control over a people, a society." As the author of the books "Ataturk" and "The Turks Today," Mango's most recent work, "Turkey's Struggle Against Terror," just recently hit the store shelves. "
