People rushed for flu vaccinations in Turkey after tests showed the presence of a lethal strain of bird flu that has killed more than 60 people in Asia and is feared to be the precursor of a pandemic. The government gave assurances the virus was contained in a quarantine zone around a fowl farm in the northwestern province of Balikesir, where the outbreak was reported last week, and did not currently constitute a threat to humans."
