Syrian national Luia Sakka, who was arrested while preparing an attack to target Israeli passenger ships, wrote a letter while in the Kandira Prison in Kocaeli. Sakka reiterated Al Qaeda’s threats that the attacks towards Israeli targets would continue and announced that he would be arranged an escape from the prison. The four-paged letter written in Arabic on August 31 also reveals Al Qaeda’s operation strategies: conducting the war among the young people in the world, hitting the enemy targets in their own countries, and paralyzing the economy. Luia Sakka wrote that he came to Turkey for this reason, but since his attack towards Israeli ships failed, Al Qaeda would make a new attack plan towards Israel."
