Swedish Research Institute in İstanbul is precious
I have a special interest in Swedish affairs, having spent most of the 1970s in Sweden as a political refugee fleeing the military coup in Turkey in 1971. I was lucky enough to meet Thomas Hammar, the first professor of migration studies in Sweden, who offered me a job in the political science department of Stockholm University as a research assistant for the project on the political resocialization of immigrants that he led.
