Turkey is a feast, indeed, and not just for the eyes
As I fidgeted in the narrow seat, with no tiny bottles of wine to calm my nerves — I was flying Saudi Arabian airlines — it was the memory of the distinct taste of İşkembe çorbası that bottled the anxiety and stirred the excitement instead. I had fallen instantly in love with the soup made of tripe when my Turkish friends introduced me to it, describing it as a taste that got to be cultivated. I had no idea then that I would be falling in love million times over in Turkey. That picture perfect landscapes of Turkey could take your breath away is a given. But trust me, Turkey is not just a feast for the eyes.
