Malaysia Airports takes 100% control of Istanbul’s second airport

Malaysia Airports Holdings has exercised its right of first refusal to buy the remaining 40% in Sabiha Gökçen Airport held by Turkish conglomerate the Limak Group, giving it 100% control of Istanbul’s second gateway airport. The move thwarted the ambitions of Turkish airport operator TAV to become part of the consortium that manages and operates Sabiha Gökçen.
