Is Turkey right on Syria?
Last weekend, the European Greens organized a big meeting in İstanbul where hundreds of green politicians from all over the EU met with tens of activists and members of the Turkish Greens (Yeşiller) and the Left Party of the Future (Sol Gelecek Partisi). One of the issues discussed was the situation in the Middle East and Turkey's policy in the region. One of the keynote speakers was Jean-Pierre Filiu, professor of Middle East studies at Sciences Po in Paris.
