Turkish cinema legend Metin Erksan dies at 83

One of the legends of Turkish cinema, Metin Erksan, has died at Istanbul’s Medical Park following renal failure.
He was 83-years old.
Erksan directed the 1964 film Dry Summer that won Turkey’s first international film awards; the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Biennale prize at the Venice Film Festival.
