Canadian based film production, Almost a Turkish Soap Opera: Yonka's Story has won an Award of Merit in the Short Film category from the Best Shorts Competition. The award was given for Sababa Emporium Film Productions' exciting and insightful drama, Almost a Turkish Soap Opera: Yonka's Story, which depicts the trials of a Turkish born woman raised in Vancouver, Canada arranged to marry her cousin from Istanbul, Turkey for her personal reasons only to find that her new husband has an agenda of his own.
