Nicosia is criticized for taking unilateral decision which undermines the peaceful settlement in Cyprus.
U.S. energy company Noble has been drilling the shelf for oil since 19th of September. Now a tender has been announced for carrying out exploratory drilling in the area, with many international companies invited to take part. The government says it does not violate the law and relies on the rights it enjoys in this exclusive economic zone.
