Turkish Lira Advances First Time in Four Days in Istanbul Trade

The lira gained for the first day in four and headed for the biggest increase in six days.
The currency strengthened 0.4 percent to 1.8931 per dollar at 9:08 a.m. in Istanbul, trimming this year’s losses to 18.5 percent, the second worst performance among more than 20 emerging market currencies tracked by Bloomberg.
