According to popular opinion the number of EU members questioning the motives of those pushing against Turkish accession is growing in volume and in number. The noise is part of the wider debate at the heart of the EU over whether or not it should continue with enlargement.
At the end of this long but healthy debate, in my opinion it is very likely that the EU will conclude that its enlargement process should continue and that Turkey should become a full member so as to help the EU reach the Lisbon objectives."
