ANKARA, Turkey — Dozens of Kurds being tried on charges of links to a guerrilla group responded to questions in Kurdish on Tuesday in defiance of a court decision that they speak in Turkish.

Most suspects responded in Kurdish to questions about whether their identities and addresses were listed correctly. Some denounced the court, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported."
