Although there are a number of items that are typically served at breakfast (in particular, menemen, a type of scrambled egg dish with tomatoes, onions, and vegetables), the most simple menu consists primarily of bread, cheese, olives, tomato, cucumbers, butter, and jam. Turkish breakfasts also commonly come with honey, hard or softboiled eggs, sausage, clotted cream, yogurt and fruit."
