Egemen Bagis, the Turkish Minister for European Affairs and Chief Negotiator spoke in Brussels about the EU membership process after the Turkish constitutional referendum on 12 September, in which a package of reforms were supported by the 57% electorate, higher than predicted.
The results were a landmark step towards Turkey’s quest for EU membership and introduced reforms to liberalise and democratize the country’s constitution."
