"Turkey extends command in Afghanistan
Ankara has decided to extend its Kabul Regional Command in Afghanistan on the eve of a visit to Turkey by NATO chief.
“Due to the special position of Afghanistan for Turkey and the central role the Kabul Regional Command is playing, in order to achieve security and stability in Afghanistan, the Turkish Armed Forces [TSK] has decided to extend the command for one more year from Nov. 1, 2010,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement late Monday."
