Greeks and Turks reignited a historic rivalry this weekend with the question: Who has the better baklava?
Houston's 44th annual Original Greek Festival and 20th annual Turkishfest, held on back-to-back weekends this month, offered patrons many similar dishes.
Of course, they weren't exactly the same.
'The doner (kabob) we make, I have to say it's better' than the Greek gyros, said Gurcan Gulen, president of the American Turkish Association of Houston."
