“There is no alternative for Europeans,” Stark said at an event in Frankfurt today. “It’s all too easy in the current climate to forget what a successful history the euro has. Not only inflation expectations are well anchored but we have delivered on our mandate over the last 11 1/2 years” to guarantee price stability.
