ANKARA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police on Saturday seized 51. 5 kilograms of heroin in the province of Bitlis in eastern Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Acting on a tip-off, the police stopped and searched a car on the Bitlis-Diyarbakir inter-city highway, finding the haul stashed in special compartments of the car, said the report, adding that the driver of the car was taken under custody."
