Istanbul has become the shining star in Turkey's foreign trade in 2009.
54.4 percent of Turkish exports was from Istanbul with 55.6 billion U.S. dollars while 55.8 percent of the country's imports was to Istanbul with 78.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2009."
