1st part of the 2010 Ordinary Session is due 25-29 January 2010. Electing a new PACE President is to be one of the Session priorities. The only candidate proposed Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, a member of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), has been elected PACE President on 2-year term, taking over the President-in-Office Lluis Maria de Puig."
