The Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly has a new, Turkish president. The organisation with 47 member countries promotes human rights, democratic development, the rule of law and cultural co-operation. Mevlut Cavusoglu, a member of Turkey’s ruling AK party, was elected unanimously."
