Every year over 2 million people -- including 120,000 from Turkey --- visit Mecca to fulfill their Hajj, the Arabic word for pilgrimage.
The rituals performed as a part of the Hajj are not limited to walking, running and praying: there is also the sacrifice. New technology is set to help the government of Saudi Arabia -- faced with the task of coordinating the slaughter of 750,000 sheep and 9,000 cows and camels each year -- to guarantee pilgrims a cleaner and more organized Hajj."
