Turks love flowers but it wasn’t until as recently as 20 years ago that the idea of having plants in the house and on the outside of the windowsill began to be fashionable As far as anyone knows, the Turks were introduced to gardens in the cities of Central Asia and then Persia since it seems highly unlikely that the nomadic tribes would have had time to plant anything
