Turkish Chief of the General Staff Gen. Yasar Buyukanit left Sunday for the United States on an official visit, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Buyukanit is scheduled to meet with U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Peter Pace, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Eric Edelman and chief of U.S. Army Gen. Peter Schoomaker during his stay in Washington D.C.."
