Istanbul, the city of seven hills, is turning into the city of skyscrapers. Its skyline will be very different in 20 years' time if the urban transformation projects in mind for the city are realized. Skyscrapers made of steel and glass will replace the familiar skyline currently outlined in minarets and historical buildings and towers like Galata. The new shape will reflect a dramatic metamorphasis of Istanbul's social structure in coming years. Among those who live here and care about Istanbul, a flurry of discussions have focused on the upcoming projects to be launched citywide this year. "
