"Turkey: EU Screening in Progress
11:31 - 03 March 2006 - Turkey and the European Commission started the detailed screening of the chapter on intellectual property laws, an area where the European Union (EU) is pushing Turkey to take more serious measures.
Turkey will brief the EU on the legal and practical measures taken so far to protect intellectual property rights in the sectors of industrial products, computer software, music, movies and printed materials.
The chapter on intellectual property is the seventh that has been opened between Turkey and the European Commission out of a total of 35.
The screening process will continue with the introductory screening meeting on food safety and veterinary services on 9 March 2006."
