"Turkey: Jeans exports increase
14:58 - 09 February 2006 - Turkey sells jeans worth $ 1,4 billion in total to 13 countries from three different free trade zones within its territory.
The Istanbul Textile and Ready-to-Wear Exporters’ Union (ITKIB) announced that Turkey’s jeans exports increased by 28% in 2005 –as compared to the same of 2004.
Germany ranks first among importers of Turkish jeans with an amount of $ 284 million. Britain comes second in the row ($ 197 million) and the Netherlands comes third ($ 112 million). Turkish jeans exports to the Czech Republic broke a record increasing by 205%, from $ 9 million in 2004 to $ 28 million in 2005."
