The 80th anniversary of the Turkish Civil Code was celebrated with messages by political leaders yesterday.
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) held a meeting to promote a booklet released for the anniversary of the Turkish Civil Code yesterday. The booklet, entitled 'Secular, Democratic and Fully Independent Turkey, Only with Women,' was presented in a meeting at the CHP's Istanbul branch headquarters, attended by CHP Women Branches head and Istanbul Deputy Guldal Okuducu, Istanbul Deputies Zeynep Damla Gurel and Sidika Atalay Saribekir, and Istanbul Branch head Sinasi Oktem.
