A high-ranking Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) commander has been sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment last week. Retired Adm. Ilhami Erdil, who served as the Naval Forces commander between 1999 and 2001 was sentenced to imprisonment for misusing his post and for gaining money through improper means.
The most interesting detail about the event is that retired Adm. Erdil�s ranks have been removed, which means that he will become Mr. Erdil if the court decision is approved by the Military Supreme Court of Appeals."
