Turkey's prime minister gave the public a rare glimpse into his personal finances yesterday as controversy over the wealth of politicians threatened to undermine his government's claim to be cleaner and more transparent than its predecessors.
In a break with past secrecy, Recep Tayyip Erdogan published a list of his and his wife's assets - which amount to about YTL1.7m (£732,000) - on his official website."
