A fight between lawyers and officials has interrupted the opening in Turkey of a trial of five journalists accused of insulting the country's judiciary.

Scuffles began after the judge ordered the removal of some of the lawyers who had filed the complaint against the writers. The trial resumed soon after.

The charges relate to comments the five made on the killing of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire during World War I."
