"European lawmakers to meet with Talat at his office
A group of European Parliament deputies are expected to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat at his presidential office in the northern part of the divided island during their visit to European Union member Greek Cyprus next month, a move that would most probably spark harsh reaction from the Greek Cypriot administration.
The European Parliament last month set up a committee to establish contact with political representatives in the northern part of the ethically divided island of Cyprus and report to the assembly on political developments in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC)."
