ANKARA - Yesim SAHINER (JTW) - 66 hotel constructions are to be finished in early future and bed-capacity will reach to 19.500 in couple of years. Experts say the TRNC’s tourism capacity will catch the Greek Cyprus in less than 10 years. The target in TRNC tourism is 150.000-bed.
Bafra is one of the most attractive regions for the tourism investments. The investment to Bafra region is for 2004 year 250 million dollars.
Tourism experts say that co-operation in tourism sector between Greek and Turkish Cypriots would be useful for both sides. Kemal Tini from ISRO research centre argues that Greek-Turkish co-operation could make the island the most attractive tourism site in the world:"
