Turkey's first solar-powered car race took place at the Istanbul Park Race Track on Tuesday, 10 days after Formula 1 cars sped around the complex with a thunderous wail audible from miles away.
However, the solar cars made their debut on the track driving as fast as their batteries and solar panels would permit and were as silent as butterflies with their electric engines. "
