On Oct. 3 the screening process for Turkey's European Union project will be launched. This long process will not only change many old habits of the Turkish state, but Turkish society and private institutions also will have to undergo a drastic transformation to adapt to new conditions in the coming years. This transformation, notwithstanding its positive contributions to Turkey, is likely to cause some conflicts and confrontations at the same time. "
