Some 60 percent of Turkish voters are happy with the performance of Ankara mayor Mansur Yavaş, according to the results of a survey conducted by Kadir Has University.
Yavaş, the opposition alliance’s candidate, was elected mayor in local polls last year in March. Ekrem İmamoğlu, another opposition politician, achieved a similar success in Istanbul, by defeating the candidate of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the March polls and a rerun election in June.
