10 years ago the European Center for Jewish Students (ECJS) took its first footsteps as an organization and for this decade celebration it seemed fitting that ECJS take another first step, by holding its first convention in Asia—in Istanbul, the city that straddles the continents of Europe and Asia. Sites such as the famous Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar demonstrate cultural differences between the East and West.
