Asli Tunca says destiny played a role in her finding her new home.
She was planning to move 15 years ago, when a real-estate agent showed her a fourth-floor apartment in Istanbul's bustling Beyoglu district. It wasn't what she was looking for, but from the window she noticed below a house with a garden that she liked. It happened to be for sale.
