Erdoğan threatens halt to stadium construction after Beşiktaş chief's alleged Gezi remarks
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan allegedly threatened to halt construction on Beşiktaş's İnönü Stadium after club chairman Fikret Orman denied remarks attributed to him about the club's famous fan group, Çarşı, which was one of the leading forces in the Gezi Park protests, in which he had allegedly criticized the group for its active involvement in the protests, a new audio recording has revealed.
