Social media becomes new venue for corruption revelations

With the government's blatant moves to smother the investigations into corruption and bribery implicating Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's inner circle and print and visual media's timidity in grabbing the bull by the horns and reporting the facts, the details of the corruption allegations have found a new vehicle to spread: social media, particularly the famous micro-blogging site Twitter.
