PM conferred Turkey’s prestigious ‘Jamhuriyet Nishan’
app40-17pm-ankara.jpgANKARA, Sep 17 (APP): Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Tuesday conferred on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Turkey’s highest civil award ‘Jumhuriyet Nishan’. The award was bestowed on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at a special investiture ceremony which was also attended by Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif in his remarks said it was a great honour for him to receive this prestigious award. “As a recipient of Turkey’s highest state decoration, I am deeply touched by the exalted recognition granted for my humble contribution to furthering our fraternal relations, a calling close to my heart,” he said.
