Nosh! The Peculiar Case of Kurdish Beer

Raising a glass and toasting “Nosh!” in the Kurdish language is fine in Turkey, but selling a beer called ‘Nosh’ can be a lot trickier.
Just ask Keske Gida, a Turkish company which says it inexplicably lost its license to import the beer, whose brand translates as “cheers,” after a baffling decision by Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture in July.
