Turkey approves cross-border operations in Iraq
Turkey's parliament has extended by another year a mandate allowing the military to carry out cross-border operations against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq.
Lawmakers voted Wednesday by a show of hands to extend the permission, which expires on Oct. 17. It was the mandate's fourth successive extension.
