What can you say about the current internal political situation in Turkey?
I am inclined to view the processes in Turkey as a demonstration of growing democracy in this country… The Turkish army has been the strongest structure in this country, capable of influencing the adoption of crucial, if not all decisions there. But as is known, the army has direct missions of protecting democracy in Turkey. The current processes in Turkey are aimed at getting the clear division of powers for the sake of democratization of this neighbor country. A few decades ago the Turkish army ensured the internal democracy in this state, but such a state cannot be eternal."
