"Turkish minister cautions EU about risks of sanctions over Cyprus
Turkey’s chief EU negotiator on Thursday warned that the Turkish public’s motivation to join the bloc would end if the union imposes more sanctions because of the country’s conflict with Greek Cyprus.
In a speech hosted by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey, or TUSKON, and the European Policy Center in Brussels, Egemen Bağış said the sanctions already imposed by the European Union were “extreme.”"
