"Istanbul hosts international short films
Istanbul hosts the 21st International Short Film Festival starting today. The festival will open with a ceremony at the French Cultural Center on Thursday. Nearly 200 short films will be screened during the one-week event, which is sponsored by the Turkish Culture Ministry. At the opening ceremony of the festival, director Tayfun Pirselimoğlu will make a speech about the “Place and Significance of Short Film in Cinema.”"
